As far as I know what I’m doing is singing with a Karaoke mic… haha. Wait till we see what’s happening!

Join us for the opening night of the Kindred exhibition at Moonah Arts Centre!

Featuring new work from: Corinna Howell, Jovitta (Ana) Nkoso, Xiyue (Cici) Zhang, Lillian Wheatley, Priya Vunaki, Mostafa Faraji, Allan Mansell, Karin Chan, Noah Johnson, Julia Drouhin and Nicole O'Loughlin.

Performances on opening night by Adonay (mara donna), Ipshita Pratap, Kattleya and more...!

Kindred is a series of collaborative arts projects, which centre the practices of Aboriginal and culturally diverse artists and practitioners from across the island of lutruwita/Tasmania.

Kindred has four intertwining parts which act to explore and critique the effectiveness of initiatives like Harmony Week in creating community connection and celebrating cultural diversity in contemporary Australia.

Curated and coordinated by local artists, Sharifah Emalia Al-Gadrie and Takani Clark, Kindred seeks to expand our collective knowledge; to recognise and value the differences that we each have while celebrating the thread that unifies us.

Kindred is supported by MAC, Arts Tasmania through the Minister for the Arts, THRIVE and Nayri Niara. Special thanks also go to Multicultural Council of Tasmania and Kickstart Arts.

See you at thaere!

Xx
